Healthcare Activities at LMKR Hospital in January, 2006
16th January 2006

At LMKR Hospital , during the 1 st week of January, 2006, 553 patients have been registered. Out of these 553 patients, 481 were treated in the Out-Patient Department (OPD), 49 remain admitted with us in the In-Patient Department (IPD) and 23 have been referred to tertiary care centers in the city for evaluation and further management as required.

Similar to the previous week, the most common problem treated again was acute respiratory tract infection (ARI) due to unfavorable weather conditions, especially in children under 5 years of age. A rising number of patients were also observed suffering from different skin diseases during the last week. We now, fortunately, have a dermatologist offering voluntary dermatology consultation services to the patients at LMKR Hospital , three days a week. We are also receiving referred patients from other healthcare facilities for dermatology consultation.
