The final week of January saw 611 patients being registered here at the LMKR Hospital . Like the previous weeks, most of these patients, 423 of them were treated in the OPD. 73 patients were admitted to the in-patient department and 41 patients were referred to tertiary care centers for further evaluation. At the same time the LMKR Rehabilitation Centre also kept extremely busy this week. A total of 73 earthquake victims were registered and out of those, 13 were referred to tertiary care centres.

This week the LMKR Hospital went beyond treating patients. An anti-polio campaign was launched, which translated to oral polio vaccination being given to all the children living at the tent village and under 5 years of age.
