Updates of 2nd Week of February 2006
17th February 2006
Last week due to better weather and environmental conditions, the number of patients suffering from Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI) decreased. We also noticed and observed that the number of patients who needed admission and referral to tertiary care centers decreased.
A new alarming situation was the increase of reported measles cases in the camp. Five individuals with measles remained admitted with us in our Isolation Ward. All measles cases have been reported to the concerned healthcare authorities and they are trying their level best to prevent the spread of this communicable disease.
During this last week, 501 new patients were registered at the LMKR Hospital. Among those 501 patients, 23 remained admitted with us in our IPD, 17 were referred to tertiary care centers and a remaining 484 were treated in our OPD.
