Updates of 1st Week of February 2006
6th February 2006
Last week at the LMKR Hospital 573 patients were registered, out of which 477 of them were treated in the outpatient department, 69 remained admitted at the hospital in the IPD and a remaining 27 were referred to tertiary care centres in the capital city for evaluation & further management. Another 7 new cases have been registered for physiotherapy treatment in our Rehabilitation centre this week . The Immunization unit staff at the LMKR Hospital are also working with great devotion by vaccinating children and pregnant ladies for vaccine preventable diseases.
The most significant event that occured last week was the establishment of a 5 beds “Isolation Ward” at the LMKR Hospital for patients suffering from communicable diseases. Three patients, 1 suffering from measles and 2 suffering from chicken pox, remained admitted with us in our “Isolation Ward”. We have reported these cases to the concerned healthcare authorities so that necessary arrangements are made in order to prevent the spread of such communicable diseases.
